I don't watch 20/20 often, but I caught the show tonight.
John Stossel's "Gimme A Break" for this week: People should stop complaining about the high cost of prescription drugs.
He claims that putting price restrictions on drugs makes the drug companines not want to try to develop more drugs to help people because, fundamentally, they want to make money.
I saw Stossel's special a couple of years ago on "Greed". He seems to think that greed is THE FUNDAMENTAL motive for everything in life...I dissagree. He said that Ted Turner was greater than Mother Theresa in that special...pheh!
Anyway, one of his statments was like "If the poor cannot get these drugs, does that mean that NO ONE should get them?"...something along that line.
Idiot.
I take prescription Paxil to keep me emotionally balanced. I feel that I need it right now, my ability to deal with people and my emoitions has greatly improved because of it....
